Mask layers
Alpha masks that can be assigned to a single layer (like in Photoshop), instead of having to mask all of the layer stack.

auto return faders
A module with these so called auto return faders. These faders have a mark to adjust the limit. These faders could be assignable to any parameter. Let's say i decide to assign one of these auto faders to the scale. I adjust the limit at the middle. So each type i press the the assigned key on the keyboard the scale moves up to 50% and returns back to value 0% at user inputted time. There could be a bottom limit too. Much Improved Module editor
The current editor is pretty basic and at times counter intuitive. It should be improved to follow more standardised GUI conventions.
- MULTIPLE UNDO'S - this can't be emphasised enough. At the moment if you press delete accidentally it can ruin an hours work. This also makes learning by trial and error a lot more difficult.
- Grouping should be a permanent menu bar above the GUI layout.
- Shift, ctrl+shift drag support for objects to keep shape.
- standard file, edit (copy,cut,paste), view (zoom gui) menus. Loose the module list on the right.

merge two projects
A menu option that let's you merge another project into the current project. You should see a window that let's you choose between the whole project or let's you pick layers that you want to import into the current project

Layer Trace pls
Wouldn´t it be great to have a "layer trace"?
I know you can workaround with filters, but it´s not the same.So vote for layer trace, because then the magic happens on the layers and not on the complete composition.

'Master' Panel Minimise Button
The Master Panel at the bottom of the screen should be able to be minimised to give us more screen real estate - 13.3" & 15" users have limited space so being able to hide parts of the UI help.

Make a lightweight codec with support for alpha channels!
Since PNG is not supported in Lion (gone from compressor) please make a codec with no compromises, good quality, scratchable, support for alpha channels. Thats the main reason Ive been thinking about using Resolume.
