a Time Line !!!
Add a timeline, like resolume.
Hello, I am user of modul8 for about 9 years. I am giving some Modul8 and Mad Mapper workshops and I would like to know what is the process for getting temporary licenses. Thank you very much
Check out Vezér, maybe this is what you need: http://www.modul8.us/2014/01/17/tutorial-how-to-connect-modul8-to-vezer-with-osc/ :)

The latest version of Gener8 (0.6) now includes a timeline module for recording and editing sequences. : )
The modules are in beta so are not available in the modul8 user library yet, but you are welcome to check them by following links at my site:

Time line + Marks + KeyFrames + Transition between Sequences. There are a lot of people using modul8 in theater, in corporate events, in museum installations, in presentations.... all of them need Time Line!!!! Not all the users are vj.

+3 Francis Cabrel.
Check out Millumin, it's a third apps that could help you to achieve your time-line's needs. I'm waiting for the official release to test it for my Dance Cie.
Hope you'll find here what you need.

Your opinion is your opinion, consider that some people have different need and every one is free to have is own method of working end creating.
We'd love to be able to choose between live felling and prepared media (time-lined events) for special moment.
Anyway, it's M8 team who will chose the best way for M8'users.
Keep on creating !

See my comment on why Modul8 should NOT have a timeline. There are other softwares for that: http://www.garagecube.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=767&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
totally agree with you, a time-line with markers and keyframe would be crunchy for our installation. I work for theater and we often need some precise sequences that we would love to manage it in M8 without editing in FCP or Premier…
More than in Res*lume 3 we should be able to manage clip during a gig, send some super combo hits, prepare some footage and assembling it in live situation ! Have a look to "le collagiste" post (in french sorry)
Timeline: in-out loop points, release in-out loop points so it plays the whole clip, integrated bpm.. juts ideas...

Have tested Avenue 3 and checked through the manual regarding a timeline. The only one I am aware of is the timeline of a particular clip, it allows you to scratch a clip or set points on it, both of which are available in Modul8 now, albeit in a different way.
We are definitely looking at a way to incorporate a timeline in a future release. We have our own definition of what this would be like, but we are also taking suggestions providing they are detailed and present a pragmatic solution as befits a live performance tool.
Can you define precisely what you mean? For example:
- The inclusion of bezier curves and keyframes
- Que based system akin to those required by stage/lighting designers
